  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, stirring and breaking up the meat with the back of a wooden spoon, until cooked through, about 3 to 5 minutes; remove to a plate.
  3. Heat the oil in the same skillet. Add the yellow peppers and onion. Cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are lightly colored and crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the wine and garlic. Cook until most of the liquid evaporates, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the tomatoes, crushed red pepper, salt, and browned sausage, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the vegetables are tender and the sauce is heated through, about 10 minutes.
  6. While the sauce simmers, add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
  7. Add the sauce and basil to the pasta. Toss to coat and serve.
