Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare rice and naan according to package directions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add minced onions and cook until golden, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add peeled and grated ginger and stir for 1 minute, then add crushed garlic and cook for another minute. Mix in cumin, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and milk. Simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  5. Temper the yogurt by placing it in a bowl and adding 1/2 cup of the sauce to it. Stir well and then add it back to the sauce, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces, add to skillet, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with rice and naan.
