Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Dice onions.
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add diced onions and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the beer, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, chili sauce, and mustard. Stir well to combine.
- Add the navy beans and white beans. Stir to incorporate.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the bean mixture to a 2-quart casserole dish. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for up to 1 hour, or until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened.
