Ingredients

  • Oatmeal

    Cereals, Quaker, dry rolled oats

    1 cup or 80g

  • Water

    Plain, clean water

    2 ½ cup or 592g

Directions

  1. (source: http://www.seriouslytrivial.com/2011/05/16/restaurantcafeteria-style-hot-oatmeal-at-last/)
  2. Spray the pot with non-stick spray. (You just can’t avoid the hard semi-burned layer on the sides.) Dump the ingredients in the pot and cook for 8-10 hours on low.
  3. *You will probably need to experiment with the amount of water. First off, add more or less to get the consistency you like. Also, the low setting temperature can vary on different crock pots which will use more or less water. I’ve also found that different brands of oatmeal can affect the amount of needed water.
