  1. Coarsely tear lettuce leaves and cut radicchio into thick slices.
  2. Combine walnuts, brown sugar, 2 teaspoons walnut oil, and 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar in a medium nonstick skillet. Stir over medium heat until syrup coats nuts thickly, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer nuts to a piece of foil, separate them, and freeze for 5 minutes or cool completely at room temperature.
  3. Whisk the remaining walnut oil, 2 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar, and garlic in a large bowl. Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Add the lettuce, radicchio, green beans, and nuts; toss to coat.
