Ingredients

  1. Cut the string cheese in half to double the number of sticks. Freeze until solid.
  2. Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Place flour on a separate dish.
  3. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and dried parsley in another bowl.
  4. Dip frozen cheese sticks in flour, then egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place coated cheese sticks on a tray lined with wax paper. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with oil.
  7. Place frozen cheese sticks on the baking sheet, spray tops with oil, and bake in the bottom third of the oven for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Turn sticks and bake for another 4-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent melting.
  9. Serve with marinara sauce.
