Ingredients

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, add flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Mix to combine.
  2. With the hook attachment on, mix while adding the water. Mix for at least 10 minutes until the dough is elastic. Make into a ball, drizzle with olive oil, cover and let rise for at least 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 500F (or as hot as your oven can be).
  4. Divide the dough in two parts (or three if you wish to make smaller calzone). Roll out each into a large di Spread some pizza sauce in half of the dough, leaving a 1 inch border clean. Top with two slices of ham, mozzarella cut in slices, artichoke hearts and a drizzle of olive oil.
  5. Fold the empty side over the filling, and crimp the edges to seal well.
  6. Cut a few slits on top to vent. Drizzle with some more pizza sauce, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden on top.
