Directions
- Drain tofu, slice into strips, and freeze overnight for a meatier texture. Thaw and blot dry with paper towels.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Whisk egg white and 1 tbsp barbeque sauce in a bowl. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
- Dip tofu slices into egg mixture, then into flour mixture. Fry each side for 1 minute until golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Preheat broiler. Brush tofu with barbeque sauce and marinate. Arrange on a broiler pan and broil 5 minutes each side until crisp.
