- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface. Remove and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook the diced ham until lightly browned. Remove the ham and set aside.
- Add shallots, garlic, and cream to the skillet. Simmer until the mixture is reduced by a third, then stir in Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the gnocchi, half of the peas, and the ham back to the skillet. Simmer for 1 minute, then transfer to a baking dish. Bake for 18-20 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from the oven, top with remaining peas and fresh basil. Serve immediately.
