- Preheat the broiler in your oven.
- Slice the oranges, removing the peel and pith, then cut into 1/4 inch rounds. Season the salmon fillets with salt and place them on a broiling pan.
- Position the pan 4 to 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 15 minutes, or 10 minutes per inch of thickness, until almost cooked through. Remove from the broiler.
- Sprinkle the salmon with red wine vinegar, arrange the orange rounds on top, and add chopped green onions and cracked black pepper. Broil for an additional minute.
