  1. Preheat the broiler in your oven.
  2. Slice the oranges, removing the peel and pith, then cut into 1/4 inch rounds. Season the salmon fillets with salt and place them on a broiling pan.
  3. Position the pan 4 to 6 inches from the heat source. Broil for 15 minutes, or 10 minutes per inch of thickness, until almost cooked through. Remove from the broiler.
  4. Sprinkle the salmon with red wine vinegar, arrange the orange rounds on top, and add chopped green onions and cracked black pepper. Broil for an additional minute.
