  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and position the oven rack in the middle.
  2. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and brush the top of each slice with 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
  3. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. While the bread is baking, prepare the chickpea puree. Remove the skins from the chickpeas.
