Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions, adding the broccoli during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain.
- Melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crisp. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain.
- Add scallions, salt, and pepper to the pan. Stir in the flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk and reserved pasta water, cooking until the sauce thickens. Stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted.
- Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and bacon to the sauce. Toss until everything is well coated. Serve immediately and enjoy!
