- Melt half of the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add the ground beef to the pan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Melt the remaining butter in the pan. Add the mushrooms and water. Cook until the liquid is reduced by about half and the mushrooms are softened.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the sour cream and paprika. Return the pan to low heat.
- Stir in the lemon juice and cooked beef. Add more seasoning to taste if needed.
