Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, half of the softened butter, and chopped scallions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside or refrigerate until ready to use.
- Melt remaining butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for a couple of minutes, until fragrant.
- Cut the loaf of sourdough bread in half horizontally. Brush the garlic butter evenly over each half.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the bread halves. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Slice and serve warm.
