  • Beef chuck

    Blade roast, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 1/8" fat, all grades, raw

  • Lemon juice

    Raw

  • Cola

    Carbonated beverage, without caffeine

    1 can 12 fl oz or 368g

Directions

  1. Acquire the cheapest cuts of meat from your local store then tenderize by stabbing repeatedly with a fork or mashing with a tenderizer.
  2. Squeeze lemon juice over the meat, then season generously with salt and pepper, or your favorite steak rub.
  3. Pour cola into a large saucepan until it is just barely deep enough to submerge the meat.
  4. Bring the cola to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer the meat for approximately 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through. Do not boil.
  5. Drain and enjoy.
