- Place bacon in a cold pan over medium heat. Cook until desired crispiness is reached.
- Lightly toast bread and cut a hole in the center.
- Heat skillet on medium low and melt butter in skillet until just bubbly. Place toast (include the cutout) in the skillet and turn to coat both sides.
- Break egg in the center of the hole and cover with lid (it's best to use a glass lid to watch progress of the egg).
- Once egg white is more than half set, turn toast and egg with spatula over for an over easy egg (or continue with lid on for a sunny side up).
- Remove to plate and serve with bacon and toasted cut-out. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Enjoy!
