Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grind sunflower seeds to medium-fine in a food processor. Mix in wheat germ and salt, and set aside.
  3. Without washing the food processor, chop the celery, onion, and red bell pepper, then grate in the carrot. Add the remaining ingredients, including the sunflower seed mixture, and pulse a few times just until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties and place on an oiled baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes per side, or until brown.
  5. Alternatively, the mixture can be shaped into meatballs or used to make a shallow meatloaf.
