Directions

  1. Whisk the eggs in a bowl with pepper and half of the butter broken apart in pieces. Chop green onion.
  2. Heat the remaining butter in a skillet on medium-high heat.
  3. Let the butter completely melt. Once it begins to bubble and darken in color, pour the eggs in the skillet. Cover and reduce heat to medium, let cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add slices of gouda on top of the eggs, along with half of the chopped green onion, cover and let the cheese melt.
  5. Once melted, fold the eggs to make an omelet, place on a plate and garnish with remaining chopped green onion.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
