  1. Chop onions and dice red pepper.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, and white pepper in a large bowl. Drain ackee and set aside.
  3. Add onions, diced red peppers, crushed ackee, and hot pepper sauce to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. Mix in beaten egg and gradually add milk to form a batter that drops easily from a spoon.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls; fry for 5 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
